We teach Hero Training for parents because we believe that Parents are heroes for their children and here are some superpowers of a Hero.
One thing all parents want for their family is to be Happy! This is a superpower, being Happy. Not everyone is able to do this. There are a lot of grumpy people out there, grumpy parents and that can lead to grumpy children. Being in a state of Happiness is a gift that some people seem to have naturally, but everyone can have this gift. For some it may take some training, but as long as you desire and seek happiness you will find it, and with some practice you will achieve it.
Happy people are Enthusiastic!!! They find joy in life all around them and share that joy. They are enthusiastic about all aspects of life. They want to get out and have a variety of experiences and make the world a happier place to be. It is a powerful superpower to have! Most children are born with this gift and somehow along the way to adulthood it gets zapped out of them. If we had it at one time, we can develop it again and once you do life is amazing, your family is amazing. This is a superpower that leaders have that lift and inspire their team or family to greatness.
A very needed superpower that a hero must have, is the ability to be Resilient! The ability to handle stressful situations, and to ‘bounce back’ quickly when things are not going well is what truly makes you a Hero. To have this superpower you take the time to learn and practice coping skills. You discover how to move from issues and struggles to finding solutions. You learn how to accept what is and to turn it into a positive character-building experience.
The last superpower of a Hero is the gift of being Optimistic! You understand that when you change the way you look at the experiences in your life the experiences in your life begin to change. You hold the belief that “Everything is working out in the perfect way” and then you confidently move forward in the direction of your dreams. You seek a purpose, create a vision and a set of goals and know that you will achieve the successes you have set out for.
